Helping to Feed Our Neighbors
Opening Doors -- and Sharing Meals
The one year Truckee Navigation Center pilot program is becoming a reality thanks to a remarkable partnership across our community. The Town of Truckee, Tahoe Forest Hospital, and Nevada County have each committed $360,000, and a request has been made to Placer County for $75,000 toward this effort to create a safe, supportive place for our unhoused neighbors.
Now it's our turn as a community to complete the circle of support.
The Fellowship of Compassion is leading the community fundraising efforts with a goal to raise the needed $230,000 to ensure that every person who finds refuge at the Navigation Center will also find nourishment: meals each day, 365 days a year.
